Carlo Fiorletta and Laura Thies starred in my one act fantasy "A Temporary Cat."

I was a playwright before I was a screenwriter, and in many ways it remains my first love. Nothing compares with the immediate feedback of hearing your words performed in front of a live audience.

My first one act play was a romantic comedy called "Bermuda Triangle" that was inspired by the two family house that my husband and I live in. It was performed by the long-standing NYC theater company Love Creek Productions beginning September 21, 2001 - their first show after the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Many wonderful people came out that night, and they showed me how valuable laughter can be when we're scared and depressed.

My full-length play The Fertility Factor was directed by Carlo Fiorletta and produced by the Guild of Italian American Actors (GIAA) at the Producers Club in New York City.

My short play "Getting In" was a semi-finalist at the Strawberry One Act Festival and Martin Denton described  "A Temporary Cat" as "gossamer and whimsical" in a program with "Iraq (Blindness)" by Mario Fratti (TONY, Nine).

I recently had the pleasure of serving as the script consultant on writer/producer Matt Spangler's dystopian political comedy Twenty Thirty Four - check it out on iTunes, Google Play, SoundCloud, or wherever you get your favorite podcats.
